I have posted yesterday the whole act with some questions which requires readers to read the act before giving answers or even making an argument to protect Rafizi Ramli and Johari.
If one really read and vet through the Act, in many occasions, it is mentioned “enforcement agency”, in which the whistleblower should go to.
Since Johari went to see Pakatan Rakyat and Rafizi.. in which later Rafizi made the announcement of such, I have to ask this to Pakatan Rakyat personnel.. is Pakatan Rakyat an enforcement agency?
Fortunate for me, two of them tried to answer, but not giving a straight answer (even not answering the question!!!). Please find below some of the “messenger birds” flying…
I started with (when I saw he twitted something on the matter:
What did he reply? He replied “there are many sources for me to look at”. Somehow expecting the answer, I asked him again:
There was moment of silence… therefore, I twitted him again, hoping for him to answer…
He replied (by diverting to wherever he could), by saying the principal matter is why the whistleblower arrested and face the court:
With this kind of reply, I firmly believe he has not read the Act carefully, in which he should know that there are procedures, mechanism and clauses. I replied:
“If the exposed was made in right channel, I don’t think the whistleblower will be arrested.. the question is, is PR an enforcement agency?”
For the rest of the day, I have not heard anything from him.. until now..
Today, I asked again some Pakatan Rakyat/ PKR personnel, especially after NOW (National Oversight & Whistle Blowers Sdn Bhd) is launched. Interesting idea.. but I’ll come to it later..
So, I twitted, once again, seeking for someone to answer and justify:
Lucky for me, someone replied.
Fahmi Fadzil replied with NOW will be an NGO bla bla bla.. but clear to see not answering my question. I asked him again
Did he answer? Not until this article is written. Perhaps he is busy… but I doubt he can answer the question.
Anyway, in regards to NOW, here are some excerpts of what is NOW all about:
At the 4th twit, I replied with hoping that NOW will educate the whistleblowers to report to the right channel, in which the enforcement agencies, in order for the whistleblowers to get the right treatment according to the act.
Whatever it is, I am amazed with gutsy move by MB TS Khalid Ibrahim to announce fund for Rafizi’s court case.. when the court was still in session. He announced that Selangor State government will provide the fund…
Also not to mention immediate bank account opened to help Rafizi and “other whistleblowers”…
Somehow, I admire their effort.. but clearly, I think, they have not read the act properly.. which awkwardly, even Latheefa Koya, a lawyer by qualification, retwitted my article yesterday.. which I think, if she really read and understood, by her stand, she won’t RT.
But maybe… she actually understand the Act.. and RT it for others to read it as well..
Question on the street: Who can answer the question – Is Pakatan Rakyat an enforcement agency???
